Livingston County Dems' Convention Saturday

Livingston County Democrats will meet for their August convention this Saturday, Aug. 14.

The convention will be held at party headquarters, 10321 Grand River Road, Suite 600, Brighton, MI 48116.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and the convention will open at 10 a.m.

The main business of the convention is to select delegates to standing committees of the Michigan Democratic Party's Aug. 28-29 convention at Cobo Hall in Detroit, and to consider resolutions for the platform commission.

Precinct delegates elected at the Aug. 3 primary and members of the party for 30 days are eligible to vote at the convention. Precinct delegates must be party members, but may join the day of the convention.

Local Dems Convention This Saturday

If you are an official member of the Livingston County Democratic Party, make time on Saturday (February 7. 2009) to attend our county convention.

The event begins at 9:30 a.m. with registration, with business beginning at 10 a.m.

The agenda includes electing delegates to committees for the state convention, as well as considering resolutions to be recommended for the full state convention.

The convention is at party headquarters, 10321 E. Grand River, Suite 600 of the Fonda Place Office Park, Brighton.

County Convention Upcoming

It's not in Denver, and Barack Obama won't be there. But we're having a convention in August anyway.

The Livingston County Democratic Party will holds its county convention at 7 p.m. on August 16 at party headquarters, 10321 Grand River, Suite 600, in the Fonda Office Park, east of U.S. 23 in Brighton.

Precinct delegates elected at the August 5 primary who are party members are eligible to vote at the convention. Convention business will include consideration of resolutions for the state convention in September and selection of delegates to the state convention.
