Won't Be Needing that Phone Booth Any More

Our friends over at Conservative Media have a great post-election piece.

How did they know we put that phone booth up for sale?

There's also a great piece on GOP involvement in the defeat of money for new computers and buses for Brighton school kids.

A few days before the election, I saw a sign that read "No Tecknolegy" next to one of the anti-bond signs.

I guess Republicans are against money for spelling, too.

Thanks for the plug. I almost fell out of my chair when I read L. Brooks Patterson’s phone booth quote.

I almost fell out of my chair when guru said he learned about child molestation in the Legislature.

The disgusting, cowardly and anonymous smears never stop, and they even follow you around. You see how well that worked in the Presidential election.

Nice to say that Republicans are against school buses for kids. Cheap shot and inaccurate, but typical.

Why don't you mention the pro-union board members who are against buses for kids? With the best funding in the county, they still managed to scrap the regular bus-purchase plan so they could fund the best-funded teacher contract in the county.

This isn't a rant against teacher pay. But if the board had kept just $150,000 for buses in a $60 million budget, it could have purchased 2 replacement buses every year. They chose not to, and taxpayers are saying they will no longer support such fiscal mismanagement.

Let's see...you want higher taxes for school buses; you want higher taxes for computers; you want higher taxes for WALLY; you want higher gas taxes; you support higher state business taxes.

Is there a tax anywhere that you don't approve of?

This is a democratic site and guru apparently stops here, so maybe someone here can explain.

I'm trying to mount support for stronger laws against child molesters, but guru keeps pulling my posts.

Is it just guru who is soft on child molesters, or is this the position of the county Democrats?
